President Trump made DeSantis. Trump helped DeSantis across the finish line in 2018. DeSantis enthusiastically endorsed Trump in 2020 where Trump would win Florida by an even greater margin than he did in 2016.
The debt has been paid. DeSantis does not owe Trump a lifetime of fealty.
