I heard it was due to downed power lines blocking the road ahead. Some drove past the barrier and survived.
Dont know the truth but sure seems like the gov response to this fire was grossly incompetent and many people died as a result.
Sadly no one will hold them accountable.
From eyewitness story from a local that was walking by the barricade… there was no lines down yet as he walked by… he walked for another 15 minutes past there and no cars were allowed out.
