Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

What does BRICS de-dollarization mean in practice?

Simply that Russia has to take Rupees and Yuan for their oil, instead of getting dollars.

Since Russian currency is pretty much worthless, and the Yuan is worth whatever the Party says it is on a given day, that leaves the Rupee which may or may not be worth anything which is 8 3 to the dollar today.

Bunch of people trading in near worthless currencies, seems like. You take my worthless currency for your stuff, and buy my stuff with your worthless currency.

Is there any one who wants to sell me stuff and will take Monopoly money?

Time to sink the Black Sea Fleet.

“Ukraine released footage from the tests of its new unmanned underwater vehicle, called “Marichka” (”Марічка”).

According to available information, this UUV has the range of over 1,000km. It can perform strike, transport or reconnaissance missions.”

All that is happening is that Russian NG goes to India and China and they save a ton of money and the American NG gets liquefied and shipped via boat (expensive) and the price goes up for Americans and our subject Eurotrash protectorates pay through the nose. The western sanctions on NG have caused a huge disruption to supply chain efficiencies and market price distortions that hurt both America and Europe.

Did you ever take any college courses on economics? You are either ignorant, lying, or stupid. I feel charitable so I will go with ignorant.

Selective, I have seen your posts early in the thread as well, I look at them all so it doesn’t matter to me if it is 3rd or 440th

Your assertion is not valid

As a matter of fact I have and regards to Russia they don’t have the pipelines to feed China let alone india

Economics lol let’s see NG prices below prewar, Russia is bleeding money and petro revenue is way down, expenses way up

Pipelines to transport enough NG to China and India don’t exist to replace lost sales, they don’t have LNG capacity either and their pipelines and refineries we’re dependent on western tech

Additionally though they are selling a fair amount of crude(which the world wants). They are doing it at a discount and increased shipping cost as to produce a nice gross but poor net
What has really suffered is refined products which are the most profitable, but India and China have their own refineries and are not buying it, certainly not at the price and quantities europe was

Military expenses make up third of expenses, add to that increased expenses for internal security and yup things are swell
Economics you know

And Russia's NG exports are at the lowest level in over a decade. The comic above was a fantasy of Europe having a cold winter, which didn't happen. Forecasters are again predicting a mild winter for Europe. Europe is wise to have a combination of diverse sources with long term contracts and large storage to reduce the effects of petro-market instability.

Ukrainian Beaver drone just struck a high rise building. Regardless of damage, pretty spectacular video. Putin will be furious, as this is happening pretty much every night now.

“All that is happening is that Russian NG goes to India and China”

Russian crude oil has diverted from Europe to India and China, not natural gas.

Some Russian natural gas goes to China from Sakhalin Island, and through the Power of Siberia pipeline, as it did before sanctions. Those are operating near peak capacity, but that only reperesents a small fraction of Russia’s former natural gas exports.

The great bulk of what used to go to Europe (85% of 2021 exports) cannot be physically moved to other customers - the pipelines or LNG export capacity simply does not exist.

Your words apply to you well:

“You are either ignorant, lying, or stupid”. (Perhaps some combination)

Something is up.

“No explanation as Xi Jinping unexpectedly skips his speech at Brics business forum”

“Chinese commerce minister delivers the address instead; Xi had arrived in South Africa on Monday evening and met with the country’s president earlier on Tuesday
China watchers express surprise and wonder if ‘something is amiss’”

“Chinese President Xi Jinping failed to show up at the Brics Business Forum on Tuesday in South Africa, where he was expected to deliver a speech alongside his counterparts. In his place, Commerce Minister Wang Wentao read the speech that criticised the US over its tendency toward “hegemony”.

Xi, in the speech read by Wang at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, said the US tended to fight countries that threaten its dominance in global affairs and financial markets.”

“No explanation as Xi Jinping unexpectedly skips his speech at Brics business forum”

“Xi later attended the summit dinner, but no reason was given for missing the speech. It appeared to be a last-minute decision, as state media articles and social media posts from China’s foreign ministry spokesperson were published as though he had delivered it himself.”

Maybe just providing some cover for Putin, who did not make his speech in person.

ISW, 22 Aug 2023:

“Russian forces appear to be concentrating their limited available reinforcements from elsewhere in the theater in the Orikhiv direction in western Zaporizhia Oblast...

…ISW previously assessed that the lateral redeployment of elements of the 7th VDV Division to the Robotyne area suggested that Ukrainian forces had severely degraded Russian forces in the area, and the possible commitment of elements of all three of its air assault regiments may suggest the further deterioration of the Russian situation in the area.

…Ukrainian offensive operations in other sectors of the front remain important because they can fix Russian units in place and prevent further lateral reinforcements.. Sound campaign design requires balancing between weighting a decisive main effort and avoiding allowing the enemy to concentrate all reserves on stopping a single obvious thrust…

…The Ukrainian advance in the Robotyne area brings Ukrainian forces closer to launching operations against second lines of defense that may be relatively weaker than the first Russian defensive line in the area. ISW has not observed any new Russian formations or units arrive in western Zaporizhia Oblast beyond the lateral transfer of the elements of (units already committed along other sectors of the front)…

…Russian forces deployed to the wider western Zaporizhia Oblast operational direction have been defending against Ukrainian counteroffensives since the start of the counteroffensive without rotation. Russian forces do not appear to have uncommitted regular units in Zaporizhia Oblast…. it remains possible that some yet unobserved and uncommitted elements may occupy positions at secondary lines of defense (but what they have seen at the secondary lines, have been elements of the units on the primary lines, indicating that remnants of those units would just fall back to the secondary lines, if needed).

…The likely lack of Russian operational reserves, together with the limited lateral transfers to western Zaporizhia Oblast and (the lack of) observed separate uncommitted units at second lines of defense, suggests that second lines of Russian defense may be significantly less heavily defended. The Russian formations and units currently occupying secondary lines of defense are largely unknown at this time, however, and ISW offers this assessment with low confidence.”

There are a couple of other options, cognitive dissonance, party line propaganda …
Joe Bloggs on YouTube has covered this extensively and uses Russian numbers which I have to imagine are “generous” at best

Russia is looking for every means to increase revenue, one of the latest is to increase taxes on energy producers.

As we know from economics studies that always ends well, at least that is what I was taught in college way back when, now who knows

The war is finally being brought to the ethnic Russians, be interesting to see how they react. In addition to invading neighbors they also have a history of revolution

Nice Kaboom! Too bad the Russian police can’t use their, otherwise useless, anti-drone guns for fear of becoming sterilized.

Perhaps Lavrov and Xi got into it over the arrival greeting XI got, as opposed to the humiliation Lavrov endured?
