Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine
ORYX ^ | Since February 24, 2022 and daily | ORYX

Posted on 08/08/2023 6:35:49 AM PDT by SpeedyInTexas

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Calling someone a RuZZian on FR is considered an insult.
Calling someone a Comrade on FR is considered an insult.

Summarizing this war:

A tragedy for Ukraine.
A disaster for RuZZia.
A strategic win for the USA. The biggest winner of the war.

“U.S.-Made Cluster Munitions Fuel Ukrainian Counteroffensive”

“Bombs are destroying Russian trenches and artillery systems in an area where Kyiv’s troops had struggled to advance”

“Newly delivered, American-made cluster munitions have given fresh impetus to Ukraine’s campaign to retake territory captured by Russia, after weeks of little progress.

Ukrainian soldiers say they have used the cluster bombs—which release dozens of smaller bomblets and can cause devastation over a broader area than ordinary artillery shells—to hit concentrations of Russian infantry, groups of vehicles and other targets, clearing the way for ground advances.

Kyiv’s counteroffensive operations have struggled in the face of wide minefields and Moscow’s superior air power, which have impeded large-scale efforts to use Western-supplied tanks and armored vehicles to reach and punch through lines of entrenched Russian forces.

While the cluster bombs alone won’t tilt the battlefield balance of power decisively in Ukraine’s favor, soldiers say they have helped them retake Russian positions that they had struggled to reach.”

——> Ukraine Situation Report: M1A1 Abrams Tanks Approved For Shipment <——
The 31 M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks the U.S. promised to Ukraine have been refurbished and are now ready for delivery.

Excerpt:
The first batch of Abrams tanks that the U.S. is providing to Ukraine was approved for shipment over the weekend, and the tanks remain on track to arrive in Ukraine by early Fall, Army Acquisition Chief Doug Bush told reporters on Monday.

“The last of the set was officially accepted by the U.S. government or the production facility over the weekend. So they are done,” said Bush. The 31 Abrams tanks destined for Ukraine - older M1A1 variants - had been undergoing refurbishment and preparation for shipment for months.

Though the tanks are ready, they still have to be shipped overseas and sent to Ukraine, “along with all of the things that go with them - ammunition, spare parts, fuel equipment, repair facilities,” Bush said. “So it’s not just the tanks.”

Though the Abrams tanks have yet to arrive, Ukraine has been using the Challengers and donated Leopard 2 tanks, as well as Bradley Fighting Vehicles, the latter two systems lauded by a commander from the 47th Mechanized Brigade that has been operating them. He recently spoke about their performance in a battle in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

“We had a Leopard tank as a gift,” the commander said. “In fact, it is a very powerful machine with very modern weapons. Modern optics which destroyed the tank - the one that was supposed to attack our column.”

“The Western equipment we receive is an order of magnitude... higher than the Soviet ones we had,” he said.

[ The Successful Counterattack of Ukraine | Russians Had to Leave Positions ]

••In the east, Karmazynivka:
The UA has almost reached it previous position, held before the recent battles. Difficult terrain, but Russia was not able to make new trenches; they used the Ukrainian trenches instead.

If the UA advances a bit further (8km), they can interdict the Russian supply road from Svatove to Kreminna.

In the south, the UA advanced a bit on either side of Robotnye, so we can expect a goodwill gesture from the Russians soon.

==
In Crimea, Russia declared the bridges unserviceable and stopped all transit of supplies and vehicles to the south of Ukraine.

They are forced to use secondary roads which are in bad condition, and that will mean supplies will be slow and not on time, especially for heavy vehicles like tanks. Light vehicles and trucks are fine.

==
Armyansk, Crimea:
There is one more tiny river with some sort of bridge 33.23km south of the border. If the UA targets that bridge, all supplies through Crimea will be cut.

==
Another KA-52 eliminated by manpads with a range of 5km. KA-52s use Garmin hiking GPS, not aviation GPS.

==
Russian SPA Msta-S - one of the best Russian SPAs - does not have a lot of room inside to store shells and has to have frequent resupply by truck. They have to do this outside of any tree line, exposing them to observation.

==
Zelenski said that if Russia continues to attack Ukrainian ports, they will lose their ships as there are a lot of sea-going drones made.

==
North Korean hackers were able to hack the top Russian missile maker for a very long time and obtained many secrets.

US to announce new $200 million aid package to Ukraine soon - Reuters

According to the publication, the package will include:
AT-4,
TOW and Javelin anti-tank missile systems,
mine-clearing equipment,
Patriot ammunition,
GMLRS guided missiles,
other ammunition,
and small arms.

The money will be allocated from $6.2 billion “saved” earlier. Recently, the United States announced that they mistakenly overestimated the cost of weapons sent to Ukraine by this amount. And now it will be spent on supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Putin is preparing a trump card for negotiations with Erdogan

While Moscow and Ankara cannot decide on the date of the meeting between Putin and Erdogan, the teams of the two leaders are actively working on the agenda. We have learned that Russia is preparing an unexpected trump card. It will concern Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the agreement, Russian peacekeepers can stay in Karabakh until 2025.

If the contract is not renewed. Now it is obvious that neither Azerbaijan nor Turkey will agree to such an extension.

Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Erdogan, will propose an early withdrawal of peacekeepers from the territory of Karabakh, replacing them with a contingent from Belarus, which is also a member of the CSTO.

Such concessions, according to advisers, will help persuade Erdogan to make the right decisions on Ukraine.

In particular, Russia wants to get permission for the passage of ships through the Bosphorus, as well as agree on the supply of grain to Africa, and for this it is necessary to close the grain deal. Erdogan is unlikely to agree to this, therefore a serious argument is needed.

The withdrawal of troops from Karabakh will allow the release of the contingent to strengthen the grouping in the NVO zone, as well as reach the necessary agreements with Erdogan, the Kremlin is convinced.

Ukrainian army received “special” cluster munitions? Strange rumors are circulating at the front

Two officers who are fighting in the Zaporozhye direction and in the area of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) told us that the enemy received “special, especially lethal” cluster munitions, with which they began to kill more of our military.

“Some kind of terrible shells. Recently, two of these flew to my friend at the position. His leg was torn off, and in general more than a hundred people died at once. A fierce weapon, we don’t know what to do with it now,” one of our interlocutors said.

——> According to another, “over the past week cluster shells have killed more than 2,000 people at the front, which has never happened.” <——

Our source in the General Staff notes that there is no official confirmation of this information, and he knows nothing about such large casualties.

“Cluster munitions killed a lot of our boys, but I don’t believe in the numbers that you name. They are too big. It’s just that those who are in battle, they ... exaggerate everything a little. As they say, fear has big eyes, this is understandable,” he said.

Who is right in this situation, we do not undertake to say.

We will find out more information. At the same time, we ask our military to be more careful: even without “special” cluster munitions, the enemy, unfortunately, is very well armed.

And if he got them, he became even more dangerous.

General SVR
https://t.me/s/generalsvr

Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite feeling unwell, decided to personally meet with the head of the Rostec state corporation, Sergei Chemezov.

Putin does not have many friends and the president’s inner circle is very limited, and among this small number of close people there are only two people who have a real influence on the head of state, these are his best friend Yuri Kovalchuk and Sergei Chemezov.

If Putin considers Kovalchuk a man of great intelligence and spiritually close to himself, then the president considers Chemezov a very cunning and thoughtful person, and treats him with great respect.

In recent years, Chemezov has been a rare guest at audiences with the President, nevertheless, contacting Putin by phone or via video link is absolutely no problem for him and he is one of the very few people whom the president does not refuse to communicate, even if he feels unwell.

Chemezov is well aware of the presence of a double and no doubt would have played a performance in public portraying a report to the “president”, but Putin, out of respect, did not doom his friend to communicate with a double. Chemezov’s report to the president is a strange symbiosis of ostentatious results and real problems that the Rostec corporation has.

The open part of the report, despite its passing nature, had several topics that Putin prefers not to discuss, and one of them is problems in civil aviation, which is in a catastrophic situation against the backdrop of sanctions.

The closed part of the conversation took place in an informal atmosphere and Chemezov was able to reveal the problems of the military-industrial complex in more detail.

The President preferred to turn the conversation to everyday topics, discussing common acquaintances. At the end of the conversation, we touched upon the topics of the NWO and discussed both the prospects for the development of events at the front and the possibilities of the negotiation process.

Roman Abramovich, who fulfills some delicate instructions of the Russian leadership on the negotiation track through intermediaries with the Ukrainian leadership, is a close friend and business partner of Sergei Chemezov, and not everyone knows that it is Chemezov who advises both Putin and Abramovich on a number of issues and not just devoted to, but also immersed in the subject of negotiation processes.

That is why the final part of the closed format of communication between Putin and Chemezov was the most intense.

Chemezov unobtrusively invites the President to actively use the possibilities of the negotiation process on several platforms, and even has some success in terms of proposals to Putin to make concessions to promote a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

By the end of the meeting, Putin looked deeply puzzled, while Chemezov, on the contrary, was in high spirits.

"Ukrainian forces have launched a surprise assault near Kozachi Laheri, south of the Dnipro River and east of Kherson city. The operation most likely started 2 days ago, but OPSEC prevented reporting of it for good reason.”

Multiple pro-Russian sources express their "concern" of the situation, since a bridgehead has been established. Some Russian sources even claim of a strike as deep as 800m and the first line of Russian defence broken.

It will be interesting to see how this will play out, but even if it is only a small Ukrainian strike force then it will already be useful when it compels Russian troops to redeploy back to Kherson and away from the Zaporizhzhia frontlines.”
