Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

And what do you call the actions the US Government took against Native Americans? Or the US Army invading Mexico in the The Mexican–American War? Or the First Seminole War for Florida?

American history is filled with wars to gain land. Seems convenient to disregard US expansion history via aggressive actions.... so what right did the US have to conquer and oppress others?

Isn’t our nation’s map mostly or entirely made up of lands we got from Russia and France, Spain, Mexico, and Great Britain from back in the days of a different type of world?

“Seems convenient to disregard US expansion history via aggressive actions”

That is history - the USA does not do that today. Russia does.

Your earlier point was that Russia was not historically an aggressor. When shown that it was (World Class), you shift to a moral equivalency argument (So what? America did the same).

But it is not equivalent today. Russia is the aggressor. Putin chose to attack.

Was that a yes, we got our map from the countries listed, in a different time, when humanity had different rules?

“the American globohomo empire”

Well that clearly shows whose side you (”Redneck”) are on - and it is not America’s.

American’s use of Color Revolutions is just another form of aggression. Just because we don’t use the US Military to invade a nation doesn’t mean we did not effectively take over the nation.

Wrong I am very Pro American, I ask what benefit America derives from any foreign action. That’s why I support Former President Trump. How many wars did Trump start? What did Trump do about illegal immigration? What did Trump do about the Chinese destruction of our industrial base and economics? What did Biden do about these issues? Are Americans better off today under Biden’s approach?

Please understand that China is not our friend, China is at war with this country, an economic war! China’s next move, take Taiwan. Taiwan is the unrivaled worldwide semiconductor industry leader. No chips, no sale of Ford pickups. No chips, no high tech weapons. No chips, no high tech jobs.

And I’m not changing the topic. China needs room, where to get it? Russia! So the US is weakening Russia to benefit China’s second move. Oh who paid off Biden 🧐

So all Americans should think long term and know history

This isn’t twitter or X, obviously people interested in this thread don’t just stop at the top comments or read the headline and first paragraph like many article readers, your point is without merit, as my comment proves

All that Speedy is doing is shoving any opposing replies way down the page in order to hide them and/or to make his/her/its post look like it has more engagement. It is as simple as that.

Are you forgetting the finish winter war, the invasion of Poland in conjunction with Nazi germany, Hungary, Chechnya, Georgia, Afghanistan, don’t forget this is not the first time Russia invaded Crimea

Selective memory perhaps I don’t know but Russia is no peace nick smoking peace pipe and sacked in the head by someone for no reason

Russia or Soviet Union has not been attacked since 1941, and all the attacking of neighbors has been by them

I did try to specify who I was referring to about not being on America’s side (Redneck). You were only addressed on that because you had been addressed on Redneck’s post that I was responding to. I did not mean to imply that about you. Sorry about that.

I am with you on President Trump controlling immigration abuse, communist China being a hostile competitor, and Biden selling out for bribes.

Color revolutions are within the bounds of the rules based International order, where competition inevitably exists, but must be managed within limits to prevent the worst conflicts. As long as they reflect the actual will of the population, they are a legitimate expression of domestic politics. Other countries can and do support those elements they agree with. Influencing domestic politics of foreign countries is a grey area, with some actions clearly legitimate (promoting shared values) and others proscribed (like bribery or election fraud).

All of the limits, agreements, treaties, and norms of the modern era were brazenly flaunted by Putin in his invasion, in violation of the UN Charter. Naked, unrestrained brutality was deliberately planned, resourced and conducted.

FSB personnel were trained in torture techniques (the real bloody maiming kind, not waterboarding) and murder of political opponents. Extensive lists were prepared before the invasion. FSB (formerly known as KGB) detachments were deployed as part of the invading military task forces, to conduct purges in the occupied areas. Bucha (a Western suburb of Kyiv) became a showcase for these systematic atrocities, after Russian forces evacuated quickly, leaving the evidence behind.

Olga Sukhenko, the mayor of Motyzhyn, a suburban community just outside Kyiv near Bucha, became an iconic example for International war crimes investigators. She was on the list, arrested from her home, and brought to the FSB station. She was beaten, subjected to electric shock and burns, had all her fingers broken, and both arms. Her son and husband had both arms broken. All three were shot in the head, and buried in a trench out back. You can find pictures of their bodies with a Google search, if you care to confirm. About 400 bodies are associated with that small FSB station, dwarfed by their purges in Mariupol and elsewhere. Larger FSB detachments were equipped with special trucks, mobile crematoria, to burn bodies. Over 80,000 Russian war crimes are being investigated.

Conventional Russian Military forces in Ukraine have violated every single principle of the Geneva and Hague conventions, to which Russia is a signatory. Every single one. They have done so on a grand scale, deliberately targeting civilian non-combatants and critical civilian infrastructure, engaging in terrorism and genocide (as formally determined by the US State Department). Cities have been deliberately destroyed, and millions of refugees displaced. It is completely unrestrained brutality, for which soldiers and commanders are not disciplined, but awarded.

The Russian propaganda that they are just pursuing their legitimate geostrategic interests like any other country would, is a complete farce. When large offshore hydrocarbon deposits in Ukrainian waters were confirmed in 2012, Putin began planning his armed robbery to take them, which he did with his 2014 invasion. The biggest share of Putin’s personal fortune (over $200 Billion) came from skimming oil and gas revenues.

Putin is a sociopath, who is largely unmoved by other people’s suffering. He has long been a serial killer, but has moved on to becoming a mass murderer of historic proportions. His appetite for conquest is limited only by what he can get away with. He must be stopped, and should be prosecuted.
