Chicago’s Chinatown, unlike similar neighborhoods elsewhere, is flourishing
There’s another “Chinatown” on the North Side. Actually its mostly Southeast Asians and is often called Little Hanoi. They have some wonderful little grocery stores with excellent prices and fascinating merchandise. Alas, because of its location it’s also a hotspot for black and hispanic crime — lots of drive-bys, robberies and assaults. But then that’s become true throughout Chicago. No neighborhood is immune any more.
