It’s already happening. In Tampa, FL state statutes already on the books to protect private property rights are no longer being enforced. Trespassing, vandalism, criminal mischief are out the window on judges’ orders to law enforcement and state prosecutors. A lot of behavior which is detrimental to individual liberty is being decriminalized such as littering, shoplifting, and driving without licenses or insurance. In a lot of cases these behaviors are being encouraged by woke corporations who are instructing employees not to attempt to apprehend shoplifters, but instead to extend them courtesy just like any other shopper. It’s not hard for most people to see. I think the problem is a large part of the population we have now have blinders because of the third world cultures they come from, where it is not out of place to see a lot of basic criminality go unpunished.

Terrible travesty of our Constitutional rights. So where is DeSantis in all of this?

... which is one reason I moved out of Tampa last year after being there 35+ years. I now live in rural W. TN where, for now, sanity pretty much reigns.
