The worst self implosion was by Pence. For he was the GOPe’s great hope for promoting one of the “principled”(TM) candidates to take on his former boss. All he had to do was criticize Trump, even if ever so slightly, in every speech or comment, and the GOPe just knew he would surge to the top of the polls as the independents and “moderate” democrats moved his way due to the economy.
The neocons would back Pence due to the chorus of “war, war, war, let’s vote for war all you patriots”. They would also chant, “Besides a war is good for the economy and would keep your children employed”, as they demand that conservatives send THEIR children to Ukraine to die for the elite war-mongers. The line to travel to Ukraine is long and each time I see another politician travel there I can’t help but wonder, “How much is their cut of tax-payer dollars?”
