Thanks for the dumb Paul Ryan/Ron DeSantis bromide.
Reminding folks what happened in 2020 and working to prevent what happened from happening again is a necessary strategy. It's nothing more than common sense really. Your strategy, will see us crushed, perpetually.
And it's just one of many Trump messages, many of them inspirational, a point you some how leave out.
“Reminding folks what happened in 2020 and working to prevent what happened from happening again is a necessary strategy. It’s nothing more than common sense really”.
While I respect your sentiment, Trump’s loyalists are powerless to prevent what happened in 2020 from happening again in 2024, should he be the nominee. Here is why:
Trump lost crucial swing states in 2020, all attributable to massive Democrat turnout machines in certain strongholds (Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, Fulton County, Maricopa County, Clark County). With the possible exception of Clark County (newly elected GOP governor), Republicans have no power to change those Democrat turnout operations, however fraudulent they may be. Those voting operations are firmly in control of Democrats. In Georgia, Trump primaried the sitting Republican governor so he shouldn’t expect much help there.
The only way to overcome those turnout machines is to overwhelm them with moderates / independents in the suburbs. Unfortunately, that constituency is out of Trump’s reach, as many of the suburbanites are turned off by his brash narcissism (especially younger women).
All of the recent general election polls are consistent on one point – Trump is stuck in the low to mid-40s nationally, even against a weak and feeble Biden. His prospects of rising above that are slim to none.
