Toughest change I ever went through was at 55. What I landed after that was the highest pay, the best position and lasted me to retirement but it took over a year.
That’s good. I worked from age 18 through age 70 and can’t say I was ever discriminated against but I am a woman so I was protected, right??? Today someone would advise me that I did have a grievance.
I remember days when we could give notice at one job and walk into a new job within a week or so. THAT was the “good old days”.
