I never thought about it that way.
Does that mean the elites culling the herd globally might actually be a good thing in the long run?
I think you may have a very strong argument. I can give you a couple of other examples.
1. A forest fire started by a arsonist or a lightning strike. The Yellowstone Fire back in 1988 that burned over a third of the forest is a great example. The seeds from trees and grasses grew afterward and is helping to restore the land.
2. The Nazi Holocaust of the Jews. This directly brought about the resurrection of the country of Israel per the writings of the Jewish prophets.
