DeSantis literally DOES NOT have a position on Ukraine, likely because it doesn’t interest him. Otherwise he’d state his position and be able to defend it.
Instead he first gave an answer stating that he was against World War 3, and that TOTALLY PISSED OFF his handlers.
So he flipped to the Neocon position...and at that moment, his COLLAPSE in the polls started.
So now he confused - does he continue to parrot what his handlers demand, and lose - or does he take the anti-WW3 side and become competitive again?
He’s literally LOST on the most important issue facing this country and the rest of the world.
Ukraine is not a national security issue for the US, none of our business, and we are wasting our money, resources, and reputation being involved in it.
What a mess. If it was in our interest, why are we cozzying up with enemy India, who is buying record amounts of Russian oil to fund the war against the Ukraine?
Anyway, personally, I see the war as really a civil war between the long-former Russian state Ukraine and mother Russia. We might wish it differently, but we passed up the opportunity to engage and help Russia transition after the fall of the Soviet Union, so now we have a mess to live with. Taking sides with Ukraine is unhelpful. Russia should be our natural ally in dealing with the Islamic Cult and with China. Instead, we are pushing them all together, even getting India to pick them over us.
It’s not our busniess. The MOST important issue is stopping matxism here. Ukraine is a distraction to busy giddy minds from foriegn quarls.it I’d a squirrel.

Yep. Sad to say, but his Neocon roots are probably showing. For all the very public social issue and COVID positioning, DeSantis seems to be an establishment candidate.

RdS has demonstrated that he is ignorant regarding foreign policy. Period.
Whereas President Trump handles foreign affairs naturally, and makes it look easy. Why? Because President Trump is unreservedly committed to an America First world view.
This is a dangerous time to nominate for POTUS a candidate who is clueless and rudderless on foreign policy.
