Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

You were a Field Grade Officer before you retired, don’t you still maintain contacts and friends who keep up with this stuff and who are deeply watching this extraordinary event?

I know guys from both Wagner and active military. None of them support it and their biggest hope is that Prigozhin will be out and Wagner stays. Well, military guys aren’t very optimistic on the latter.

The 64-dollar question is, does Prigozhin want Putin’s job?

He has no choice. If he wants to live.

I’ve seen no verbal attacks on Putin from him so far, nor I see if it is possible.
I also personally wouldn’t like to see him as a president of Russia. You probably won’t as well.
“Angry patriots” believe that it is NATO-Russia war. I heard their calls to nuke bases in Poland and Germany “for de-escalation”.

I understand that but was hoping you could keep us more up to date with what is happening on the ground militarily, for instance, there are claims that Russian military columns are moving from Azov in occupied Ukraine toward Rostov.

How do you anticipate this unfolding, is Wagner gaining control of the supplies in Rostov, and will the Russian troops there be allies, surrender, or finally start fighting?

You must have some good speculation on all this.

I have same sources as you do. I think the most likely outcome is that it ends in nothing, but Wagner is most likely a goner. Harder line is going to be adapted for war to placate “patriots”.

“””I have same sources as you do.”””

I don’t know any Russian active duty or Wagner people.

And even they mostly rely on the same sources.:) Do you think everyone is involved in it on one side or another?

They don’t have to be involved but you guys know your own military, you speak the language of all the information, internet, and news sources, you have family members scattered around Russia, you have friends in different cities of Russia and various jobs who could share general information and impressions with you.

As a retired officer and local, surely you have a much better feel for what is going on there than me.

Which I have already expressed. The people I know aren’t directly involved and even if they were they would have had more pressing issues than sharing it real-time.

After being so knowledgeable on the Ukraine invasion suddenly you know nothing?

You retired from Russia’s army as a Field Grade officer, you are from there even if you have moved away, you know Russian officers and Wagner people, and you suddenly have no insights or expertise to share here at FR?

Another Prigozhin video at a Rostov MoD building. He claims that Wagner controls military points in Rostov, including the military HQ and the airfield.

I’m getting the impression he does want something.

The guy is sort of pushy.
