As for McCarthy, he was spot-on. But his methods may have been misguided. He underestimated what he was up against re: the evil left (sound familiar?). The left marginalized him, their opponent, rather easily and they’ve been succeeding at same ever since.
MccCarthy set them back a good while, and he was incredibly popular at the time.
I’ll tell ya where they been, before Trump the last, “Conservative” they supported and elected for 8 years was an open border globalist who gave us a 10 year long compassionate war where we won nothing but death and debt. All while our own borders spiraled completely out of control during this reign.
