DeSantis position on the 2020 election has mirrored mine, and therefore likely many others.
Immediately after the election, DeSantis had concerns about the results, and supported Trump in being declared the winner.
But over time, after Trump was unable to ever come up with any concrete evidence, then disappeared for a year on Jan 7 instead of continuing the investigation and fight, it's become more unclear of what may have happened. Even unclear if Trump wants it investigated, since it's a good talking point and fundraiser for him, as is.
Since then, almost no one championing Trump's claims that 2020 was stolen has won a major election. The issue appears to be a loser, and no concrete evidence has ever emerged.
Oh sure there's lots of circumstantial evidence, but even Trump himself can't seem to tie it together. Or doesn't want to. Don't blame others for Trump's own failure to prove his own case. Especially when it seems to be the kiss of death for anyone who brings it up.
“Don’t blame others for Trump’s own failure to prove his own case.”
Well there’s plenty of blame to go around for the failure to prove any of the election fraud in a court of law. Corrupt and/or weak kneed judges top the list.
But that’s beside the point I wasn’t blaming DeSantis for the lack of progress. I was addressing DeSantis’s refusal to even acknowledge the problem. If he’s unwilling to acknowledge that there has been outcome changing levels of election fraud in the 2020 election, and now the 2022 election, then he disqualifies himself from consideration in my book. And that goes for any other candidate who won’t acknowledge it.
