I’m not sure about counting views on Twitter because that new feature really just shows engagement, which could just be your eyes seeing the post as you’re scrolling by. Still an impressive ‘engagement.’

If that is the way it works, then every tweet would have countless millions of views.
A.I. can easily count the number of unique visitors, whether they are registered at Twitter or not (and if not, what is their computer's unique ID and browser), and the length of time they stayed engaged at a link. All reported automatically. These metrics are used to attract and hold advertisers.
