Broadcast media: NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS, FOXNEWS, etc. consistently post videos that using advertisers as well. I just discovered commercials occur on videos [just discovered our credit union is now appearing at beginning of youtube videos!]
To go a step farther, the more written articles that are posted by media news outlets is form of advertisement for their product.
Personally, I prefer free-market capitalism to the state government intervention of communism.
YouTube doesn’t require a subscription in order to watch videos or to make money from videos you produce
The money is made by other people watching the videos and the more times you post links to and people click on those links the more money the creators make
