Note that there are MANY Jews (myself included) who have had family members severely victimized by Communists, most notably in Russia. For those of us who retain any knowledge of what happened to our families, the Left is THE enemy. FYI, Nazism is a form of Leftism, as it is ALSO a Collectivist ideology (just clothed in the uniform of natiionalism).
As for me, one of my great grandfathers had everything he ever worked for, except for his home, stolen by the Communists in the 1920s. In 1936, in a Ukraine still suffering from a Stalin-engineered famine, my Great GF, then in his 70s and suffering from throat cancer, rented out 3/4 of his home so that he and my GGM could eat. He couldn’t work, and his retirement plan (14 houses that he built with his own labor and rented out, plus a business that he could have sold) had previously been stolen. So the NKVD dragged him away to prison and beat him very badly. In early 1937, a few months after being released, they decided to drag him away again, and this time beat him so badly that they knew he was going to die. So my GGM had the “pleasure” of being woken up in the middle of the night by furious pounding on the door, and when she opened the door a bunch of Stalin’s goons tossed my GGF into the house like a sack of potatoes. He didn’t recognize anyone, and died within hours. Oh, and roughly 3/4 of my GGF’s descendants got treated like serfs in Lenin’s USSR for about 3 generations.
So this particular Jew despises every single iteration of Leftist/Collectivist ideology - and those who practice and/or defend it. And I’m far from alone.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that on the other side of my family, German Collectivists and their sympathizers murdered about 70 of my distant relatives.
With Nazism and Communism being, IMHO, two sides of the same hideously evil coin, I truly despise Collectivism and Collectivists with every fiber of my being.
Unless you are joking, that is a foolish statement. There are millions of conservative Jews, many on this forum.
