Happy 75th Birthday to Stevie Nicks, born this day in Phoenix, AZ.

Well that shows Stevie is a good sport. Because that was pretty brutal.
If you speed up the song "Imaginary Lover" by the Atlanta Rhythm Section (a top 10 hit from 1978), it sounds exactly like Stevie Nicks.
Unlike many others on this thread, I think Stevie Nicks was a great singer. Her "Silver Springs" should have been on Rumours.
I like Nick’s voice also. For me it’s an expressive thing, her voice suits her lyrics well. I like Dylan’s voice for similar reasons.
21st Century music is crap.
FM: Sara, Gold Dust Woman
As did I. I think my favorite Nicks tune is her collaboration with Tom Petty on “Don’t Go Draggin’ my Heart Around.”
O/T, but I can recall two songs off the top of my head that had the same impact:
Lawyers, Guns, and Money by Warren Zevon.
Oh Yeah, by Roxy Music.
Both are from 79-80, when I was stationed in Germany.
I liked this one better.

“Lawyers, Guns, and Money”
Ha.
“Oh Yeah”
Never heard it. “Love is the Drug” is the only Roxy song I can think of, and it’s on my playlist
As I understand, she’d show up at Walter Reed, unannounced, without a big entourage or any press and sit with soldiers at their bedsides and with their families, sometimes for hours, holding their hands, listening to their stories and telling them they would heal and get through this. She’d bring I-pods pre-loaded with all types of music to give out.

Thank you for posting that...my eyes are getting moist.
This will never stop being funny. I don’t know who the singer was who recorded this parody, but she sounds just like Bonnie Tyler.

The Chain is the only Fleetwood Mac song that has song writing credits from all 5 members of the band at the time.
How Fleetwood Mac Wrote "The Chain"
Long Distance Winner
Races Are Run
Rhiannon
Three Fleetwood Mac time periods really
I like the middle one best
But enjoy all of them
Peter Green great guitar player
And I like Christine as much or more than Stevie
Bare Trees and Future Games were hallmarks of high school and GIRLS LOVED THAT STUFF LIKE THEY DID FOGLEBERG
Low rider bell bottoms
Skinny
Tube tops
Long hair to their butts
Clogs
Count me in on early 70s Time Machine lol
(The New Orleans warehouse imposter band scandal could have ruined some groups)
My pick too
Few here know that era
Cult band Deep South in 73 or 74 where I lived
They played a lot in Mississippi and Alabama etc
Tyler was after Nicks
Oddly enough and I know this is wierd
But I knew
Tyler
Carnes
And Melanie
Personally
They were all very nice honestly
I owned a large self storage and rehearsal space in metro Nashville 97-2014
All rented from me and I got to know them
They couldn’t have been sweeter
Similar voices
People here are just mean
The curse of anonymity on the internet
Snark and scold and retreat lol

Nicks and Buckingham met in their senior year of high school, and he ran track and field and in swimming.
Both those songs on the Buckingham-Nick album alluding to racing as does Frozen Love
