The entire system of classification of documents starts and ends with the President. All of the orders and regulations flow from his authority as does the determination of what is classified and what is not. He is the original classification and declassification authority, not some bureaucrat in some agency who is a bagpipe enthusiast.
IOW, they are planning it.
Their aim is to try and kill Trump politically obviously. They are dead serious. They are extremely petrified of him.
Trump was POTUS during that time frame, so they couldn’t indict him for documents that he declassed.
Plus there was election fraud. Is this going to give trump “standing” to introduce evidence of the fraud?
DeSantis is looking more ridiculous every day. Trump is still following the same failed strategy of 2020 and 2022 showed people will go out of their way to vote in rejection of him and his surrogates. Trump can easily win the nomination but it's almost impossible that he'd beat Joe in the general no matter what's going on with the country.

All during Trump’s term, the Democrats, along with the alphabet agencies did their darnedest to destroy him. They have chosen to do it in ways that have deliberately reduced the powers, and privileges of the Executive Branch that are specifically outlined, and granted by the Constitution, taking them away piecemeal with the help of the courts. To get to one man, and carry out their own vendettas, they’ve violated their own oaths of office, weakening the Office of the President, and making it the laughing stock of the world. They topped it all off by stealing Trump’s win from him in 2020, and setting up a dementia-ridden puppet to finish off destroying the Office of the President of the United States.
