I’m reminded of the story of how to catch raccoons. You put a shiny object in a narrow necked jar. When the raccoon sees it, he will reach in and grab it and he won’t let go of it. Because he will not let go of it, he can’t fit his paw through the jar neck to let of the jar. However, he won’t let go of the shiny object either, so he becomes an easy capture for the hunter.

Does anybody think that gay conservatives, to save the nation, will be willing to let go of the recognition of gay rights? I’m betting they would not do that to save the nation.

While hoping for the best I also fear that you might be right.

I think “gay conservatives” are loyal to the LGBT movement first.
