Well, it took me a while, but I got placed by one of those Indian firms. It helped that the hiring manager for the client is Slovakian, and he appreciated my "communication ability".

You being placed by an Indian recruiter is very rare. And I bet you noticed, if you do happen to get into an Indian shop, you will be treated like a second class citizen, no matter what your skill level or experience is.
