“But the days of Democrats being seen as caring about the working man and Republicans being portrayed as elitists are appearing to come to and end.”

The pendulum swings the other way.

“Democrats Now the Party of the Rich as Billionaires Line Up to Back Biden”

Which is why I TOTALLY SUPPORT tax increases on this bunch. They put their money into Democrats, they can deal with the implications - they’re problem, not mine.

Democrats have been the party of the rich for a long time. The rich don't worry about 37% income tax rates because they don't pay them. The rich hide their money in their corporations and their stock while giving themselves a $1 a year salary. Their house and senate lapdogs tailor tax legislation full of loopholes that allow them to hide and write off profits of their corporations so they end up paying a little of nothing.

Meanwhile the upper middle income professionals take it in the shorts from the dems ever increasing income taxes while their mega donors sit back on their yachts laughing. The one thing the mega donors don't have that the dems need is votes so they secure that by government handouts and the constant rhetoric of "soak the rich" so the poor flock to the polls to vote for them. These useful idiots are being paid by soaking the middle class to fund the never ending welfare state. Meanwhile the mega rich bring the Obamas, Clintons, and Bidens into their club with money laundering book deal schemes and $250K "speaking fees" for giving a 20 minute speech.

There are two types of democrats today, the mega rich and the lower class whose votes are bought with welfare. Getting pinched in the middle are the rest of us.

The Democrats have always been the party of people who want others to work for them.

Whether billionaires wanting government advantages, welfare recipients who want to live off taxpayers, or Southern slave owners.

Republicans need to stop taking political hits for resisting higher taxes on the super rich.
