I can’t say that’s not possible, but I see them flying with the same frequency as before on the new pattern that I never saw them fly before. I would venture to guess that the Russians do not depend on ADS-B to detect and identify aircraft over the Black Sea. When you can see British surveillance aircraft flying with fighter escort (which I have seen) it would indicate that pretty much everyone uses ADS-B in that area for reasons I can’t really comprehend.
Know what? I hardly blame them. The corrupt United States for too long has honestly been the bully to many nations, including Russia. For decades now the United States has been arrogant abusing its economic power to both punish other nations and to bribe other nations into corrupt ways.
For example, using the dollar's reserve currency status to punish smaller weaker countries. US foreign aid used to be sent out of goodwill and recognizing we have been blessed with a lot of wealth. Now? Now the US send buckets of money to countries if - and only if - they adopt homosexual laws, or laws or adopt transgender study programs. Those are just a couple of examples of a corrupt and degenerate empire.

You may be correct. I am sure the Russians do not necessarily depend on ADS-B, but it sure makes surveillance easier. Skin echos do not provide good altitude information, if at all. Most ATC radar use fan beams which provide no altitude information at all.

I live in the country that I served. This country was a great, great nation. It still has countless millions of great people and great patriots. I really believe that; many right here on FR. I hope this nation will become great once again, but it is not right now, IMO. I pray and will continue to stive to make this country more honorable.

The Russians started firing on a US special Forces base. As part of a demilitarized demarcation line and agreements between Russia and the US there would constant communication between the two forces so there wouldn’t be any exchanges between the two .
When the Russians starting dropping rounds around this US outpost it’s commander immediately got on the horn with his Russian counterpart and asked what the hell were they trying to do, were they deliberately firing on the US outpost?

Within minutes American artillery, F22 Raptors and B52s started laying down the hate and eliminated half the Russian force within minutes.
It was so bad the Russian commander got on the phone with his US counterpart and asked for a cease fire.
True to Ivan’s stupidity the Russians and Syrians tried about a month later, organizing an armored column as they had previously done.
They were spotted by a US Reaper drone and the US commander again called his Russian counterpart and warned him they get the crap beat out of them again if they tired anything.
Within minutes of the phone call the Russians backed off.
