Seriously, this isn’t ‘coo coo’. Have you tried pushing ChatGPT? Had it analyze complex data sets? Asked it complex technical questions and discuss problems with potential solutions? I use it all the time and it astonishes me, somebody that has been developing software for over 30 years.
This isn’t ‘if then else’ programming. These neural networks, being massive and trained with massive amounts of data, are difficult to predict. These researchers are constantly surprised with the results. So by definition, they’re creating something they don’t fully understand.
I have no doubt a problem is being born.
