Liberal cities' refusal to reign in their bloated pension benefits causes tax-payers state-wide to have to bail them out when those cities are unable to meet their other obligations. This is going to become more and more of a problem in the next few years. Many cities and states took advantage of the Covid largess and used those funds to prop up their pension funds. They will quickly be back in trouble if changes to their pension structures are not made soon.

I suggest they allow Milwaukee to become part of Illinois where they will feel more at home. I bet the Wisconsin legislature would be quick to approve that deal as would the Illinois legislature.
