It turns out that every State is authorized by Congress to create and maintain an organized “state defense force,” aka State militia, not National Guard, and completely under the control of the governor. I believe almost all of the States, maybe 46, have done so. Patriots who think they might be ready to fight should investigate this option in their own State. If your State’s militia is inactive, start putting pressure on legislators to activate and publicize.

These are the Alaska State Defense Force, Alabama Stahe Defense Force, California State Military Reserve, Colorado State Defense Force, Florida Guard, Georgia State Defense Force, Indiana Guard Reserve, Maryland Defense Force, Mississippi State Guard, New York State Guard, Ohio Military Reserve, Oklahoma Reserve Force, ...

I understand that my native Massachusetts has such a quasi-militia State Defense Force.

Never heard of it.

And please keep in mind that Massachusetts, where brave Patriot blood was shed on Lexington Green, is fiercely opposed to the Second Amendment.
