The solution is simple. 1) Ask 5 volunteer teachers (or other staff) in each school, train them in a shooter reaction team and disperse as well as can be around the school, arm them, train them as a repel team, and give them alert buttons to be carried at all times. MAKE THEM HARD TARGETS! Taking guns away from honest folks will not work, as they need them for protection from crazies and criminals. The best Law Enforcement in the world will not be able to respond in less than 10 minutes, but a school response team can respond before or as soon as it starts. 2) Tell Democrats to shut the hell up and be part of the solution, and not the problem.
Even the mentally disturbed understand that entering a school where there are a lot of guns other than their own is going to be a danger to themselves and is someplace to be avoided. They read the gun free zone signs and know they have nothing to worry about. Gun free zone signs are an invitation not a deterrent.
