I hate to draw the comparison, seeing as they are complete opposites politically, but the jailing of Nelson Mandela only made him more popular. Jailing Trump will do so likewise.
Normal people - and there still are normal people in the U.S. - sense in their gut that if a political persecution against one person is allowed to stand, it can then be used against anybody including themselves.
You are correct. But what bothers me almost as much is we’re now being divided more with Trump vs DeSantis. We need to be united because what’s coming our way is so dark we need to be united!

So he won’t cooperate? Big whoop. The feds don’t need his cooperation. He’s also telling us that he won’t oppose the feds either.
I refuse to accept that states are completely powerless in the face of fed tyranny. States have their own laws. There must be some pretext that he could use to defy this corrupt action, perhaps detain federal agents sent to perform an arguably illegal arrest. And, he could keep them locked up until a grand jury decides whether or not the action is legitimate.
That would show his mettle and demonstrate his fitness for the job he covets. However, it might also delay his chance to run for it.
