If Bragg is stupid/irresponsible enough to do this, my prediction is that Trump will simply refuse to report to New York for the DA’s photo op.
That would escalate things even more. New York State would presumably hasten to seek extradition. Ron DeSantis will refuse to enforce the order. He might even make a show of granting Trump political asylum.
And should DeSantis get a bump in the polls for doing this, Trump will find a way to attack him anyhow, because that’s what Trump seems to do these days.

Why would DeSantis do that? While DeSantis hadn’t said anything about Trump lately, Trump and his supporters have been busy attacking him.
