Great post. I agree.
There was a time in my younger years that I thought the government and the media wouldn’t really deceive people intentionally, and certainly not on such a wide scale.
Certain events that happened in the last 25-30 or so years changed my mind about that.
Once those scales fall from your eyes, you see subsequent events through a different lens. You question far more than you used to.
Ms. Wolf is going through this process now, and we should not shun her. I want to engage people who are genuine and sincere. We will be better for it when we do so.
I am in the same boat as you. There was a time where, if the FBI knocked on my door and wanted to discuss something with me, I would have opened the door, let them in, and even made a cup of coffee for them.
No more.
While I know there are good FBI agents, we cannot safely consider them to be “on our side”, and interacting with them as a law-abiding American can destroy your life.
That was the mistake General Flynn made when Strzok and Pientka came over unannounced to “talk with him”. General Flynn made the same mistake many of us would have made in the past, and assumed that they were “on our side”.
They were, in fact, there to set him up. The bastards.
Well, those days are gone now. And it pains me-and saddens me-to have to face completely up to the fact that my own American government is not my friend.
No more.
