. Their vision for America, Christian nationalism, white supremacy, blind support for Trump and embrace of reactionary fact-free conspiracy theories leaves a very wide chasm between their beliefs and mine. But that does not mean I support the judicial lynching against many of those who participated in the Jan. 6 events /\ nRyians

The U.S. justice system is utterly hypocritical - jailing Jan. 6 ers for years without charge - and lying that it was a “violent insurrection, “where “people were killed.”

But ignoring truly violent terrorists such as anti-fa and BLM - who threw molotov cocktails at police and repeatedly burned American cities to the ground in 2020 - and, when caught, dropping all charges against them.

The people who stormed the Capital while Congress was in session are frankly idiots who probably deserve what they got. To say that what they did was wrong is an understatement. I am a Trump supporter and I would NEVER consider doing such a thing as they did. The videos of them in the Capital moving around with violence and destruction of property is appalling to me. Now, if they indeed are kept in pretrial detention, where are the lawyers filing writs of Habeas corpus on their behalf? And if some corrupt DC judge is denying such writs, where are the appeals to the next level of the judiciary? Where are the stories in the conservative media detailing what is happening to them and the fight to free them? I have seen no evidence of any of this and so I am very skeptical towards those crying about those fools. Is there any conservative organization providing attorneys for them? How many were arrested and how many are still detained, and why? Why aren’t they requesting a speedy trial?

Oh, Pi** off, yah whiny little Ahole. Getting in your last little lying jab before the 44K videos show how corrupt the entire charge of insurrection was?

The chasm is deep — jump.

There is little that unites me with those who occupied the Capitol building on Jan. 6. Their vision for America, Christian nationalism, white supremacy, blind support for Trump and embrace of reactionary fact-free conspiracy theories leaves a very wide chasm between their beliefs and mine =

Is Hedges or Fish the author of the piece?

McBride thinks that the Democrats won't be in power forever. How quaint.
