Let's say, hypothetically, that one were an atheist, and they though Jesus was just a man who died a long time ago.

What, exactly, is it about Jesus and his life, that they are so triggered about? Would be be triggered by a picture of Ghandi? They don't believe in God, so what is it about a non-divine man who told people to be nice to one another that makes their heads spin and vomit gallons of pea soup?

I’ve thought that logically one cannot assume that a depiction of a man nailed to a cross necessarily signifies Jesus of Nazareth since it was a common form of capital punishment in that region 2000 years ago. One can have a hobby of collecting miniature art forms of capital punishment such as a man in an electric chair, a man hanging in a noose, with his head in a guillotine or nailed to a cross. He could keep those items on his desk at work and not be guilty of promoting Christianity.
