That’s rather like saying our Founding Fathers should not have allied with the French...

It would not be force, it would be serious negotiation.
I don’t want to see DeSantis run YET. He and Trump, I predict, will make agreements and work together. I don’t think they will be on the same presidential ticket, although that’s not impossible.
I’d like to see DeSantis fulfill his promise of serving his full second term as governor which will not end until January 2027.

Define “Russia” and define the territorial boundaries of Ukraine.

“Everybody wants peace.

But with 500,000 men lined up on each side facing each other right now, Trump is in no position to guarantee jack shit.”

Sure he is. You seem to have learned nothing from 4 years under Trump. It’s called leverage. We have plenty of it if we’re willing to use it. And Trump is willing and able to use it. It’s how he:

-Got Mexico to put troops at the border and agree to implement “remain in Mexico”,

-Got countries to take back their illegals,

-Negotiate peace deals in the Middle East,

-Ratcheted down tensions between U.S. and Nort Korea,

-Got China to agree to a trade deal,

-Got Canada and Mexico to renegotiate NAFTA,

-Got Japan and South Korea to sign new trade deals

-Got NATO countries to start contributing more to NATO,

-Negotiated a peace deal in Afghanistan,

-Got Carrier to keep their Indiana plant open (while still only President elect),

-Renegotiated Air Force 1 contract with Boeing,

-Brokered a cease-fire between Turkey and the Syrian Kurds.

“Like building a wall and having mexico pay for it?”

I think Mexico did pay for it. Oh, you thought they were going to sign a check and down in the little notes section they were going to write “For: the wall”.

XD XD

No, Trump knows more than any politician that bullying Russia or any other military power is a stupid idea.

What's happened in Ukraine was a result of OUR aggression, not Russian aggression. We fomented a revolution, we installed a government illegal that was hostile to both Russia and the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine. We turned Ukraine into a security for the Russians. We teased NATO membership for Ukraine. We wanted this war to happen.

The Russians consistently pushed for a peaceful resolution with the Minsk Accords and by seeking to negotiate before the war began.

Neocon idiots have us closer to a hot war with Russia, WWIII and nuclear war than were during the Cold War.

You are correct the President of the USA would not promise Russia that the Ukes would stay of out NATO nor did he send over anyone to try to win a pre-war settlement. It is difficult in my view to argue that we didn’t want this war.

“What’s happened in Ukraine was a result of OUR aggression, not Russian aggression”

Thanks for the Russian propaganda. Russia invaded Ukraine per Putin’s words, because Ukraine doesn’t exist and has always been part of Russia.

Why did Trump give real military killing weapons to Ukraine? Because he recognized there is an aggrieved party, Ukraine and there is a wrong aggressor nation, Russia.

Russia’s intent is known by all, and that is why every member of the former Soviet/Russia Warsaw Pact Alliance, came kicking and screaming away from Russia and into the Western alliance of NATO.

Ukraine is none of Russia’s business and they need to leave before Crimea reverts back to Ukraine.
