I put RUSH in the irreplaceable category. Like Carson was to late night TV RUSH was to conservative talk radio. They are one of a kind entertainers who brought joy to millions of people. Life is short and good things come to an end.

Your post sums up my thinking about Rush being one of a kind. I am among the many listeners who remember the very first time we heard Rush and were hooked from that day on. Rush was believable and we could relate to much of his personal experiences as well as political insight and American history. Mark Steyn said, before Rush died and the talk was about his replacement, that he had made guest appearances for personal reasons and would not be a replacement. Rush was the friend of Mark Levine as well as Steyn and might have passed on them himself for that reason.
