One of Oz’s many problems is that he was rightfully perceived as a carpetbagger, a cynical outsider. One day he’s in Hollywood, telling Oprah about the supposed benefits of some stupid diet plan. And then the next day he’s in Pennsylvania, saying how he understands the problems of the average working-class guy.
Too many Pennsylvania voters didn’t buy that, and understandably so.
As I noted previously, Fetterman was much, more worse. But unless you frequented conservative sites like Free Republic you’d never know it.
