Now we're raiding arms in Israel to send to Ukraine

So just how badly are we depleting our own arsenal of military hardware as we keep sending more and more arms to Ukraine? You rarely hear a peep about this from our swamp-dwellers in Washington, but our supplies, particularly ammunition, are obviously running low. This week we tapped into an infrequently-mentioned stockpile that we keep in Israel for short-notice use, both for American missions in the Middle East and for our Israeli allies during emergencies.

Maybe I am ignorant but how come the Ukraine never built factories to build Soviet caliber artillery shells? When the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union, the Soviets were able to evacuate thousands of factories to the Urals and beyond. Those factories were up and running during the time frame since the Russo-Ukraine war broke out.

At some point, don’t know when, this will not pass the smell test.

Something else is going on.

Raiding US arms, raiding US funds, raiding the Strategic Oil Reserves, sending ally arms...

The same can be said of the NATO standard 155 MM shell.

Ukraine is now Trench Warfare and Artillery duels.

Next, we are going to send some Dough Boys ‘Over There’ to fight the War to End All Wars and Make the World Safe for Democracy.

It’s a stalemate with no end in sight. Make Peace!

“At some point, don’t know when, this will not pass the smell test. Something else is going on.”

The reality is obvious to anyone paying attention.

Billions in theoretical aid, but Ukraine has received no helicopters, tanks, jets, long range missiles, etc. This war would have been over months ago if the aid we had sent had been real.

The supplies in Israel are probably leftovers from the Yom Kippur War that are worth nothing but are being sold for billions.

Using our old military junk to demilitarize a warmongering Russia is an excellent investment.

They ship them to Ukraine. Ukrainians sell them on the black market. The politicians get a cut. Biden gets the rest. Wash, rinse, and repeat. Biden tells the members of his church and worshipers Ukraine needs this and that. Like trained seals, Biden's worshipers respond and make it happen. Biden puts his dirty money wherever he puts. Biden and his worshipers are happy.

By depleting the world of arms would certainly help China in its invasion of Taiwan.

There is no question that we are being played big-time. Right from the start.

If one didn’t know better, one might suspect a fifth column effort to drain a country of the ability to defend itself, either by invasion, coup, or a combination.

You are over the target now. So expect some incoming flak from the Kremlin butt sniffers. The “billions” is in very large part paper accounting. Obama and Bush destroyed billions of dollars worth of ordnance. Biden famously left an army in a box in Afganistan for the Taliban. Dropping our old junk on Russians is what this stuff was made for after all.

Actually one of the great ironies of this war is that most Russian ammunition, aircraft, missiles, tanks, rifles, and etc. were all made in Ukrainian factories that have now been destroyed.

I think the Russians had assumed that they could invade Ukraine and seize control of all of these factories without having to damage them. Now that those factories have been destroyed the Russians are faced with having to build a complete military production infrastructure in their own country.

Yep, great thing one knows better, LOL!

Agree 100% - there is some ‘column effort’ to drain us. The $64 Trillion dollar question is, is the effort to drain the We the People of the United States for America, or alternatively, is it to drain the Deep State Cabal of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

Both is not an option.

Yes, someone needs to start asking these questions.

We gave the Afghans thousands of Humvees, armored vehicles, helicopters, etc. Yet Ukraine has had to make do with 40 year old artillery shells.

Our neocons are anti American criminals and traitors.

As is anyone who supports them in their Ukrainian crusade.

In earlier years defense munitions production for replacing used stores kept pace with use, but that has fallen by the wayside in recent years, RDUCING the munitions budgets to pretend it is holding the line on the total defense budget.

NORMAL (from earlier years) would have continued to keep munitions replacement (due to ag and use) in the budget, and if we are “running out of arms”, that may be the case due to recent years’ defense budgets, regardless of the war in Ukraine.

Its a common mistake to view Ukraine as a proper, organized, unified, historically self-governing country. It never has been, regardless of what the UN or neocons in DC tell you. It was born in 1991, out of the arsehole of the Soviet Union, post-communist, totally-corrupt, a cultural vacuum, dominated by Russian language, no sense of itself, and disunified

Just ready to be manipulated by Russian oligarchs, Putin, local politicians, Hunter Biden and US neocons - all for their own corrupt goals
