I do not believe that the vax error will cost President Trump the next election; Trump supporters do not demand perfection and for the most part understand how this went wrong and still believe that he is the best hope for this country especially after the education that he has received. DeSantos was saying that the vaccines were safe and effective in 2020 and 2021.
The TrumpSwampJab clearly is trending DOWN in popularity. And UP in liability. Trump is a politician who is a populist. So I expect at some point before the election he will try to blame others for his failure. He’s well practiced in that regard, so it might work.
The Don has a faction of support willing to ignore massive flaws - I get it, those votes are not in question. The Bushes never lost the core of the prior establishment vote either. But still fell when challenged by the new guard, Trump, who was not afraid to bullhorn the failures of our party’s once-popular old guard.
Today The Don is the establishment candidate casting the long shadow of American deaths misspent in a war against a hoax. And Ron is the new Don - if he wants it.
