Paved roads are death traps for wheeled vehicles in winter - anywhere near the front and the Russians will have those paved roads covered by artillery. Without chains, they are not useful cross country or in icy situations.

Without a doubt, artillery is not my strong suit.

However, UKR is currently employing Caesars , the gigantic truck-mounted (wheeled) artillery units France sent.

To date, only one Caesar has been damaged...none destroyed.

While wheeled artillery will have limited use in winter, I am confident that UKR will put them to good use as weather permits.
