As Bloomberg noted in its report on the latest inflation number, “the easing that was celebrated at the end of last year has largely been erased after revisions and the acceleration in January.” I bought a washer last month (Speed Queen 500 - BEST washer I've ever had) -- the sales guy told me his company (which handles all brands) was planning on upping prices on everything 10% every two months... Now maybe he said that to get me to commit at the time but it had a real 'ring' of truth to it. Who knows but it doesn't seem inflation was transitory - back then or now...
