Jan 6 Pence had a legal obligation to question the results. Let’s stop posting this silly myth here on FR.
Objections were raised by various members of the House and Senate — consistent with the applicable Federal law in place. None of those objections were upheld by a vote in either house of Congress.
Once that happened, January 6th should have been nothing more than a simple formality.

WRONG AGAIN!
Mike Pence could have resigned on the spot (or sooner) and immediately returned to Indiana, sending the process into unknown Constitutional territory.

Mike Pence could have resigned on the spot (or sooner) and immediately returned to Indiana, sending the process into unknown Constitutional territory. Which would have accomplished absolutely nothing except earn Pence a reputation as a loser and a quitter — like Paul Ryan.

He directly contributed to the insurrectionThe only insurrection of the day was committed when Pence assumed executive powers by calling Milley and others! He did NOT call the man who was the executive! Pence acted without approval from the President.....

Pence had already seen Liberal Lawyers and had it planned out - so here was he was just in the mode of hiding his real intentions as he had for years.
Seems like Old Traitor boy was doing some of what he’s accusing Trump of doing?

There is that slippery forgotten matter of 141 Congresscritter’s filing official motions of objections to their own States’ “slate” of electors— as being against their State’s elections laws.
For proof of one of the major actors formerly of Perkins Coie the bag-attorneys for Hitlery’s “dossier”— see the very recent— within the last 2 days, threat against Arizona counties who refuse to certify their election results.
This on public Twitter— from Marc Elias (Stacy Abrams pal in the GA steal of 2020).

There is that slippery forgotten matter of 141 Congresscritter’s filing official motions of objections to their own States’ “slate” of electors— as being against their State’s elections laws. That would have been a great point -- except these objections really had to come from the state legislatures, not Congress. These legislatures had all the authority they needed to contest their own electoral votes before the January 6th joint session of Congress -- or (even better) before the Electoral College met to certify the electoral votes around December 15th of 2020.
