Much of the delay comes from the need to check signatures on election day, or near election day "absentee" ballots.

Those ballots have to be opened and the date and signature confirmed.

That is a time-consuming process done by hand.

There are hundreds of thousands of those ballots this year.

Most of them are suspected to be MAGA supporters and Kari Lake voters.

Correct. Boatloads of ballots that—by law—must be handled accordingly and its very slow.

That is the end of anything positive I can say about the Maricopa Board of Supervisors, Elections, and the Sec. of State’s office, headed by Gov. D-candidate Hobbs. What a f’n brain-dead child she is.

They shorted Rs in Pinal Co. in the primaries. They sent out 100K wrong ballots in this general. They didn’t thoroughly prepare printers/tabulators for this one, and are suspect of having sent older equipment, more prone to breakage to conservative areas. (yet to be proven conclusively).

The Maricopa Board of Supervisors has had it in for MAGA candidates like Lake since ‘2020’s debacle. The ‘20 country recorder illegally tried to install extra polling stations in only D areas in that election. He—Adrian Fontes—appears to have won this election as Sec. of State, so he’ll be overseeing elections in ‘24.

Look for law suits when the new Gov. orders him to scrap the old system and install one to HER liking, approved by majority of state legislature. He’ll fight it. She’ll have his head before long.
