Thanks. I think y’all handle electoral things differently than we do here. We don’t have mail-in ballots other than absentee ones. The state doesn’t mail them out unless you request one, and only for certain reasons. We do have early voting and, of course, day of voting. Also provisional balloting if there’s some reason to use that (like they say you’ve already voted when you show up, but I’ve not seen that happen often). So like Florida, it’s all counted pretty quickly. Gotta get rid of these ballots that are mailed to everyone. I think that’s a problem guaranteeing fraud of some type.
I’d LOVE to see Arizona go to absentee ballot for reason only, with the rest voting in person. I voted in person the Friday before. What I didn’t realize is that, although I had to show a photo ID to get a blank ballot, my in person vote was treated like a mail-in: I had an envelope. Signed and dated it. Provided a contact number in case of questions. Then turned my vote in using a sealed envelope. As best I can tell, my vote in person on Friday is still waiting to be counted!
