Used to be they were cautious in proceeding, not sure of blowback.

Now they really are not worried at all, surprised (?) that they get away with so much, wondering just how far they can go.

They’re accelerating because they have to. If they slow it down now, it all falls apart. They have to keep going faster and faster.
