The Senate was on track to wrap up legislation to keep the federal government operating until mid-December as well as fund new aid for Ukraine, with the chamber’s leaders saying they expected to have a vote on the measure later Thursday.

Senate Democrats have included another $12.3 billion in economic and military aid for Ukraine in a must-pass government funding bill, a proposal that would bring U.S. spending on Kyiv’s efforts to repel Russia’s invasion to more than $65 billion this year.

Another $12.3 billion out the door to the Ukies. Must be a new day. There goes more of our tax money. Won’t be long before the Ukraine will be wealthier than the United States.

When did the USA officially declare war on Russia?

One would think someone/anyone in Congress would ask that question

Asking that question would make one a Putin supporter, according to the usual suspects on this site.

We're supposed to sit back and let our pockets get picked.

Total aid given to Ukraine in 7 months has surpassed that of the entire Russian military budget for 2021.

More than we set aside for and spend on an annual basis for the Departments of State, Labor, Justice, Interior, Commerce, NASA, EPA, USAID, FCC, SEC, NRC, FTC.

But our entire country is steadily imploding, southern border is non-existent, money better spent on homeless, etc. Vets, Re-filling our Strategic Reserves, helping in Florida and soon to be other states in the US, etc., etc., etc.

Should be interesting to see how much aid Biden gives Florida as compared to Ukraine.

I think this past Monday.

The constitution, being a fluid document whose meaning is unpredictable and changing, gives Brandon the right to declare war. I think it’s in the part is right next to the amendment allowing tax-payer funded abortion on demand.

Could be why I haven’t heard one DemocRAT politician complain about not having enough money to pay the bill to continue in his political government job.

Just today I read a WSJ article that casually comment on our current debt level....at 127% GDP.

That was fast. We were a tad under 100% GDP when the bad orange man went away.

How much money is in this new budget to finish America’s “border wall”?

Did the GOP forget that this “MUST PASS” bill gives the GOP some “leverage” over the big-spending Democrats?

Zero for Ukraine or Europe, 100% for US border and states needing hurricane assistance. And how about we actively skip rebuilding houses on the beaches that keep getting washed away in storms?
