I live in a state where rice is very popular(Hawaii) we buy it by the #50 bag. MacDonald’s offers rice and Spam with the McBreakfast meal. IIRC rice, beans and franks were the New Orleans Parish Prison standard menu items.( I was aquitted).
Alabama is the #1 rice producer in the US so we’ll still have plenty, even though California is killing their rice farms in favor of an invasive species of fish.
The dream of liberal elites is coming true. Dead stupid people. It saves their Gaia.

The fish are almost irrelevant, given current trends. Pretty soon there won’t be enough water for CA even if you leave the fish with sun-baked river bottoms.

Without massive guaranteed supply and storage, growing water intensive crops in an intermittent desert is insane.
