I tried gab when it first came out and something approaching 50% of the posts were bashing Jews. I don’t believe Gab was set up as a jew bashing site, but if you set up a commenting forum as a “hey anything goes, no censorship at all” and what results is a den of hateful antisemites, that’s a problem. Also, if the current gab environment hasn’t chased the Jew bashers off, saying something like “it’s like 40% less antisemitic than it used to be” is hardly a good response for folks who don’t want any..

Many of those were leftists giving the platform a bad image...they knew they could do it since they don’t moderate. But see my posts up a little ways explaining how to use filters. You can block most of that stuff yourself and not have to see it.

The other social media platforms are constantly bashing whites while all other groups are off limits. If there is going to be bashing or ridicule or comedy or more thoughtful and serious criticisms, then let everything and everyone be fair game. I think that is the appeal of gab; no list of taboo subjects.
