UA was building up forces for Kharkiv offensive over the course of a month. 9000 troops, equipment and logistics.
Maybe planned to coincide with the Kherson offensive.

Not a head fake - at this point the UA has more troops on scene that the Russians. Further, the southern offensive is up against AB units and they are motivated, unlike the northeast front where there are only LNR/DNR screening troops and nothing else.
