“Which is more important, the sun or the moon?” a citizen of Chelm asked the rabbi.
“What a silly question!” snapped the cleric. “The moon, of course! It shines at night when we really need it. But who needs the sun to shine when it is already broad daylight?”
i have often thought that most of the upsetting and ridiculous actions of the D’s over the last years should be recast as happening in Chelm. i even bought a couple collections of the stories to prepare to try my hand at it. but you know what?the Chelm stories are very amusing: what we’re living through isn’t. in fact it is nauseating and scary.
Very nice satire. But it irks me that he apparently confuses the name Melchizedek with Methuselah, the latter being known for his great age, the former not.
Aptly named Press Secretary.
