80s not the 70s. It was in 82 IIRC. There were only a couple hundred cases in the whole country. But it was increasing exponentially.

Somebody needs to ask him if he consulted on the vote by mail policy and the promotion that went on in the states, it was rumored at the time that HHS was being a consultant in advocate of changing the laws and policies in the states part of the 2020 election

I was a kid at the time. Give me credit for realizing at the time that the disease basically was getting its own civil rights because we couldn’t put a damper in the poor, poor poofters. Should have quarantined the lot and let nature take its course among those with the disease.

I’m almost positive I remember seeing him on a Sunday morning talking head show in mid-March of 2020 saying the best way to approach this would be to shut everything down for two weeks.
I remember thinking that was crazy.
The next day, New York shut down and throughout that week, most places followed. It all seemed quite surreal at the time.
